I wish people would talk about the Physical side effects of PTSD more. You see the anxiety and panic attacks portrayed in media a lot, but nobody ever talks about:

  • the constant muscle contractions/spasms and subsequent pains,
  • extremely sensitive hearing/smell/peripheral vision/being super sensitive to vibrations,
  • chronic fatigue and never feeling like you’re relaxed,
  • horrible stomach cramps
  • irrational fears of otherwise mundane things

And many other physical side effects that either aren’t on my mind right now or I don’t personally experience.

if Broadway doesn’t want bootlegs floating around then they need to get their act together and make legal recordings.  you can say all you want that theater is meant to be enjoyed live, but the fact of the matter is not everybody can get to NYC to go to a Broadway show.  not everybody can afford to take the time off of work and buy a plane ticket to NYC and buy a night in a hotel AND get the ticket to the show.  people want to see the shows, that’s why there’s a bootleg market in the first place, but it’s unreasonable to expect that everyone has the time, money, and ability to make it out to the one place in the world to see something on Broadway, especially if it’s a limited engagement.  so record that shit, slap some subtitles on it, and sell it so we can buy it legally.

Reblogging this every time I see it. Copyright is important for creators but it should not support cultural elitism. Affordability and accessibility of cultural content is key unless we want to live in a very divided society.

And it’s not like this would impact the ticket sales or anything. It’s a completely different experience and people obviously prefer watching live musicals but not everyone is able to.

People still pay for tickets to sports games even though they’re all on tv. Like just because I watch every Toronto Maple Leafs game on tv doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t pay $100 to see them play live if I could. It’s the same for musicals. I’d prefer to watch it live but if I’m unable to, I’d pay like $20 for a DVD of it if it were available.

Ron just got his howler from his mom yelling at him for stealing the car. He seems super embarrassed and most of the Great Hall is laughing. But here’s the thing:

Ron is 12 years old.

Ron stole a car.

Ron fucking stole a fucking car at the age of TWELVE.

I would not be laughing at him. Ronald Weasley is a fucking bad ass. When was the last time you jacked a car Malfoy? That’s what I thought. Bitch.

Harry woke up at 3 am, wrote this, and went back to sleep.

New best reply.

People online who develop entire worldviews based on being contrarian at people they’re mad at are really funny, like, a good example of this is that a very large part of 4chan has done a 180 degree turn on their stance on digital piracy because they realized piracy of AAA videogames is widely supported by leftists on social media. 4chan, which used to be like, a hub for videogame piracy and cracks, has decided that it might look too commie to keep being like this, so the only moral choice is to pay 60 dollars for AAA videogames while still endlessly whining about how much they hate the industry… you know, to own the libs.
