Please, please, PLEASE start including ableism in your discussions on discrimination. One of the reasons so little progress is being made towards giving disabled people a better life is because we put ableism on the backburner. Yes, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, religious discrimination, are all important topics to discuss, but there are parents who have gotten off scot-free from killing their autistic kid because it was deemed a “mercy killing,” or they were even deemed a hero just for raising them.

So please include ableism in those discussions.
