unpopular? p5 opinion: i honestly can’t stand the way ryuji is written. like the guy sexually disrespects his female friends as a RULE and literally told a member of the team that he was useless to the point where said member started to believe him. like he’s written as such a Basic Straight Dude and i really, really, really hate how Atlus forces heteronormativity down their player’s throats. like, can we fucking STOP with the “it’s the school trip let’s have an entire fucking arc about all the guy characters trying to pick up girls” bullshit? or the “it’s summer and hot so let’s sexualize all the female characters by making them sweat so hard their bra straps show through their school shirts and all the male characters have to stop and stare and make it really awkward and creepy and uncomfortable but we’re going to play it off like comedy because we think objectifying female friends is funny?”
oh, and the only queer representation being adult gay dudes in the red light district acting like predators towards a high school boy.
like idk. i love the persona games but i HATE how aggressively heterosexual they all are.
