like “i’m a conservative and i still support you! not all of us are like that uwu” along with cheesy centrists giving them ass pats for being so “respectful”, as if there’s anything respectful about saying you’re a fan of someone while also agreeing with politics that negatively impacts that person (considering he’s black and gay) big time.

no, the reason he SPECIFICALLY calls out right wingers both in his speech and on twitter is because conservative policy is one that actively harms communities of people of colour and lgbt people, and him being a black and gay man has every right to call this out. if your politics aligns with that which harms marginalised groups, then your platitudes about wishing well to people belonging to said communities are surface level at best and mean absolutely nothing if you have a worldview that sides with bigotry.
sure, you can be happy. sincerely, even. but maybe you should have a good look at yourself and figure out as to why sonicfox said what he said.
