Okay okay I have another hundred words or so left to write of my essay but first,,, imagine,,,

Izaya is finally confessing to Shizuo about his fear and aversion to dogs for whatever reason, prattling on and on (as he does) about how mindless they are, how they make no sense and then glancing over at Shizuo who’s kind of zoning out and he glares.

“Personally I’m more of a cat person.” He says not thinking Shizuo’s really listening all that much but Shizuo looks over at that.

“Oh yeah? Me too.”

Izaya’s kinda surprised by this. Shizuo likes cats over dogs?? He’s so loyal and straightforward by nature he can’t imagine Shizuo liking cats, mischievous and conniving, and he looks shocked.

“In fact I already have a cat” Shizuo says. Izaya looks at him questionably before Shizuo pets him on the head.

“He hardly ever purrs but at least he’s funny to watch”
