I think those hyper-criticial animation/art review channels have no idea that another of the biggest aspects to art is using an art style that is effective but not completely time consuming. Artists have lives but they also have personal goals they want to achieve in their art and as such a lot of artists get comfortable with a non-labouring art style because they? Want to continue? Having a life? I don’t understand why that’s overlooked. Anyway that’s the reason why criticism of “I would’ve liked this to look more elaborate/detailed/realistic” is not a valid criticism if that is not the artists personal intent. If they do not strive to achieve a style that is any of those things then it’s not a fair category to judge people on.
