I once told this to a fan at a Comic Con. Dunno if I’m correct but that’s how I think:

The Looney Tunes are not pals. They are not this group that hangs out together. (Leave that to mice and ducks). The Looney Tunes are always looking to eat and beat the crap out of each other. Each one of them thinks on their own survival. They even hardly address themselves by names other than ‘pal’, ‘chum’ or ‘doc’ (but that’s just one of them).
Their personalities are so strong that you don’t need to think too hard in stories. Just think out a villain or a foe or even pur two of them together against each other and the story will write itself.
Understand this and you will get what made the Termite Terrace braintrust run.
